Ergonomics and safety

Ergonomics and safety are key aspects of the forklift operator's job that have a direct impact on his or her comfort and efficiency. The appropriate cab design allows for comfortable entry and exit into the vehicle, which is particularly important for an activity that is repeatedly performed throughout the working day. The large door handle allows for easy opening, even with thick gloves, and the door's gas spring will keep the door in a convenient position. The sliding window slat allows the degree of opening of the window to be precisely adjusted, ensuring optimum ventilation. Additional accessories, such as accessory strips, make it possible to mount a tablet, computer or notepad, guaranteeing constant and convenient access to essential work tools.

The safety of the operator and those in the vicinity of a moving forklift truck is crucial. To this end, various types of signal lights are used to warn of an oncoming vehicle. A Spot Light displays a point of light in blue or red behind or in front of the forklift, signalling an approaching vehicle. This is particularly important in tight crossings with limited visibility giving a clear signal to pedestrians nearby to exercise caution. Zone Light lamps, on the other hand, cast red lines around the trolley, marking the zone around the manoeuvring machine. Another solution worth discussing are the reversing beacons, which are available in several variants: beepers with two sound intensities and an adaptive white noise beacon that automatically adjusts its volume to the ambient noise level, so that it is always clearly audible but unobtrusive. These solutions make forklift operation more ergonomic and safer, which translates into operator comfort and protection of those around.
